Birkenhof Brennerei at Nistertal
The Birkenhof distillery is the Eldorado for connoisseurs, gourmets and discoverers of fine distillates. Over the course of the company's 175-year history, a small grain distillery in the Westerwald became one of Germany's top distilleries, which was named "Best Distillery in Germany" twice in a row by the Frankfurt International Trophy 2022 and 2023. After being awarded 7 state honorary awards, the distillery was awarded the “Grand State Honorary Award” for the first time in 2023 and the Federal Honorary Award for the fifth time.

The open tour “Fascination Distillery” takes place for individuals and small groups on Fridays at 4 p.m., Saturdays at 3 p.m. and every first Sunday of the month at 3 p.m. (cost: €11.50 per person).
